Sasan Gir
Sasan Gir is amongst the most important wildlife sanctuaries of India, and tourist places in Gujarat.It comprises 1412 sq km of deciduous forest interspersed with semi-evergreen and evergreen flora, acacia, scrub jungle, grasslands and rocky hills. Fed by perennial and seasonal rivers and streams, the sanctuary has large water bodies like the Kamleshwar Dam that are good for crocodiles and birds. Gir National Park is well known all over the world as the last habitat of the Asiatic lion. A land with a long and deep historical past, Sasan Gir is one of the favorite choices of many Indian voyagers, travelers and adventurers.
The count of 2,375 distinct fauna species of Gir includes about 38 species of mammals, around 300 species of birds, 37 species of reptiles and more than 2,000 species of insects.
Access-
By road: Gir National Park is 60 km from Junagadh, the most common base for making a visit, and 360 km from Ahmedabad. The main centre is at Sasan Gir, and has a forest guest house maintained by the park, just opposite the railway station.
By rail:One can travel by rail to Junagadh from Ahmedabad or Rajkot and then take a 65 km road trip on bus or taxi to Sasan Gir.

Nalsarowar
Nal Sarovar Bird Sanctuary, consisting primarily of a huge lake and ambient marshes, is situated about 64 km to the West of Ahmedabad near Sanand Village, in the Gujarat state of India. Mainly inhabited by migratory birds in winter and spring, it is the largest wetland bird sanctuary in Gujarat, and one of the largest in India.
The lake measures 123 km, attracts over 210 species of birds in the winter, and harbours a variety of flora and fauna. Thousands of migratory waterfowl flock to this sanctuary just after the Indian monsoon season. The shallow area and ponds on the outer fringes of the lake attract the wading birds that feed in the shallow waters. Besides a few mammalian species including the endangered wild ass and the blackbuck, its migratory bird population includes Rosy Pelicans, Flamingoes, White Storks, Brahminy Ducks and Herons.
Best time to visit the Nalsarovar:
The Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary is open from November to February, but the best time to visit this sanctuary is in the months of December and January. Ducks, Geese, Pelicans and flamingoes can be best seen early in the morning and evening. The sanctuary is busiest at weekends and on holidays. To see the birds, it is best to hire a boat for a few hours with a guide.

Dholera is a town in Gujarat, India. Dholera is an ancient port-city in Gulf of Khambhat, 30 km. from Dhandhuka village of Ahmedabad district. One of the original six temples built by Swaminarayan is located here.

Dhari is located on the banks of river Shetrunji on which the famous Khodiyar Dam is located. Two Other rivers Dedio and Nataliyo also pass through Dhari. Dhari is a birthplace of famous Swaminarayan saint Shri Yogiji Maharaj. Dhari has also Jain Derasar situated at Kandoi street which is 100 years old. Mulnayak is shri Aadinathji. Other attraction soon be built near Khodiyar dam which will be called as a SAFARI PARK for watching Asiatic lion in natural surroundings.

Santiniketan
Santiniketan, Birbhum 212 kms from Kolkata Shantiniketan is a small town near Bolpur in the Birbhum District of West Bengal and about 212 kms north of Kolkata. It is famous due to Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore, whose vision became what is now a University town - Visva-Bharati University. The place now attracts thousands of visitors each year.
Shantiniketan was earlier called Bhubandanga (named after Bhuban Dakat, a local Dacoit), and was owned by the Tagore family. In 1862, Maharishi Devendranath Tagore, the poet’s father, while on a boat journey to Raipur, came across a landscape with red soil and lush green paddy fields. He decided to plant more saplings and built a small house. He called his home Shantiniketan. He founded an ashram here in 1863 and became the initiator of the Bramho Samaj.

Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer "The Golden city", is a town in Rajasthan. It is located 575 kilometres (357 mi) west from the state capital Jaipur. It was once known as Jaisalmer state. The town stands on a ridge of yellowish sandstone, crowned by a fort, which contains the palace and several ornate Jain temples. Many of the houses and temples are finely sculptured.
The beautiful havelis which were built by wealthy merchants of Jaisalmer are yet another interesting aspect of the desert city. And you can let your eyes caress the sloping sand dunes while you ramble your way in a camel safari. The desert citadel is truly a golden fantasy in the Thar Desert.

Khuri is a village 45 km south west of Jaisalmer. It is a delightfully peaceful place with mud and straw decorated houses. One kilometre away from the village, patches of sand dunes are additional attractions for the tourists. There is regular bus service that runs from Jaisalmer to Khuri village. Villagers in their rural world can be seen on the way to Khuri.
